We've had a run of days much warmer than usual for February, so I've been going outside for long walks. With my shoulders messed up, making it too painful to lift much, I've been getting flabby and gaining weight. An MRI confirmed that I now have (very painful) tendinitis in my right shoulder as well as my left. I thought the left was getting better after five months of physical therapy, but it turned out that it only seemed less painful because I was using my right arm for a lot of things. I watched the pilot episode of Riverdale and was nearly repulsed. I only made it halfway through. I've been known to get bored or annoyed but "ewww!" is an unusual reaction for me. I think part of it was the massive and ongoing emphasis on what a muscular, cut stud Archie is.

I finally got to see the orthopedic doctor, and he said to just keep doing physical therapy (and suffer) and if it still hurts a month from now then I should see an orthopedic doctor who specializes in shoulders and then do an arthoscopy. Well, my MRI results on my left shoulder came back. I have tendinosis and a partial tendon tear with fluid in one of the... joints? Arthoscopy, which my general practitioner said is like putting a tube into the shoulder, is recommended for my "irregular appearing anterior superior labrum." In my area of New York we had a swift drop in temperature by 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit, along with the kind of rain we haven't gotten much of in the last few months, and my head rebelled and stuck me in bed and mostly unconscious Friday and Saturday.
